No Rain

Quote of the day: I have to be nice... because he had cancer.
Song of the day: No Rain by Blind Melon

I've been listening to my Simple Harmonic Motion (WPI's all-male a capella group; they're really amazing) CD recently and this song caught my attention because it kind of sums up how I've been feeling lately.

No Rain

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
I like watchin' the puddles gather rain
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
And speak my point of view
But it's not sane, it's not sane

I just want someone to say to me oh, oh, oh, oh
"I'll always be there when you wake" yea, yea
Ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today, hey
So stay with me and I'll have it made

And I don't understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that there's no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away, but it's a great escape
Escape......escape......escape......

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain
You don't like my point of view
You think that I'm insane
It's not sane... It's not sane

I just want someone to say to me oh, oh, oh, oh
"I'll always be there when you wake" yea, yea
Ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today, hey
So stay with me and I'll have it made

I'll have it made (you know I'm gonna)
I'll have it made (you know I'm gonna)
I'll have it made (you know I'm gonna)
(I'll have it made I'll have it made
You know we're really gonna, really gonna have it made
Gonna have it made ahhh, ahhh, ahhh, ahhh)

In other news, I went to the Taunton High Spring Concert tonight, and it was awesome. I was very impressed with all of the groups. The jazz band rocked out on "Act Your Age," and the Select Choir rocked out on the "Beatles Revue" which included Mr McKenzie and Uncle Billy on trumpet and Mr L on drums. The wind ensemble was very good (I'll admit, much better than I thought they would be) as was the concert band. The concert choir had a couple good songs. Overall, it was great!

After the concert I went to Friendly's with Sarah, Kevin, Danielle, Tim, and Nick. It was pretty fun. I had a delicious sundae which had a banana and peanut butter ice cream. yum!
