Song of the day: Beautiful Day by U2
Today was the first day of D term. I'm really happy to be back at school! :)
So I haven't written since Friday. hmm. Well on Saturday I didn't really do anything at all. I got some pictures printed because I wanted to put up some pictures from college, and I didn't have any. Now I have plenty. I worked on cleaning my room and got rid of a bookshelf. I moved a couple other things and now it looks like there's a lot more room!
Oh and the most exciting thing that happened on Saturday was that I found the chicken thing that goes with the plastic fire in my car!!!! I happened to look for my cell phone under the passenger seat and found the plastic chicken-on-spit that was missing. So now there are four rubber pirate duckies surrounding a bird roasting over the fire. I said that they are cannibals. My sister said, "No, but now they know what's going to happen to them!" Picture forthcoming, assuming my sister helps me on this. :)
On Sunday I packed to come back to school. I also finished cleaning my room, and it looks awesome. yay! (You don't understand, my room hasn't been thoroughly cleaned since around 9th grade. yeah.) I went on errands with my mom just to spend some time with her, then left for school around 4. Oh, and on the way we had to pick up the rest of my pictures from CVS.
On Saturday I put a bunch of pics onto a USB and took them to CVS to use the picture center. I submitted them and was told they'd be ready in an hour. When I went back I realized I didn't remember ordering all the pictures I wanted. Boo. Turns out only half the pictures I wanted to print made it on to my USB. Not sure how that happened. Anyway Saturday night I ordered the rest of them and they were ready to go on Sunday. Problem solved!
Today was the first day of classes. My schedule this term is sweet. 3 hours a day M-F except Wednesdays, which consist of 0 hours. hahaha.
Jazz history was first, at 11. I love Professor Falco and I think the history of jazz is really interesting, and Lee is in that class too! So overall I think it's going to be a win. =D
Accounting was from 12-2. Juliana is in that class so I'm kind of excited about that. The teacher is funny. She has kind of a sing song voice which I really like. I'm still undecided on this class. It's 2 hours long, but I think it will be at the very least bearable, if not actually interesting.
Macroeconomics is my third class, but it doesn't start until tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. I don't know if I know anyone else in there. Oh well.
I found out that the reason I got a B instead of an A in stats is because I got a 60 on the last test. Oops.
I checked my mail and the most interesting thing in my box was a letter from the Lost Property Division of the State government. Unfortunately, it was addressed to my box but not my name. Oh well. I gave it back and said "this isn't me." It was a great name though, something like Oggen something-or-other. I wish I could remember it!
I went to visit Paul and talked to him for a while, which was cool. I also worked for half an hour since Paul wasn't there and I was bored. haha. I just put stuff into the computer.
I played soccer with the swim team for a little over an hour. We played a pickup game against some kids who were on the turf too. They were definitely better than most of us, but I'd say we held our own. It was fun and I was pumped to be exercising since I haven't done much since C term ended. I'm going to start lifting soon, and Andrew and I will start swimming next week. I'm also doing intramural soccer and water polo club, which starts Wednesday. We had a really short meeting at 5 to give the members a little info. After that we had "orientation" for everyone teaching swimming lessons. I went to daka with some of the team, then went to MNC!
Monday Night Cribbage was fun, as usual. Berge and I lost but we at least took it to 5 games. We won the 2nd and 4th games. The last game sucked though, we got destroyed. Oh well. Next week will be different!
Oh and I had pancakes for breakfast today, which is always a good way to start. I usually don't go to eat breakfast at daka, but today was different because I had a meeting at 10 for the freshman class board. I didn't eat breakfast but the meeting was short so I had time to eat before Jazz History. yay!!!
To top it all off, it was really nice outside today!! Yay!
