Song of the day: All The Small Things by Blink-182
Today was an awesome day! Even though I drove over 100 miles and woke up late. What a recovery, haha.
So, I woke up and the clock said 10:55. I was planning to leave at 10:45. Lame. But no matter, I ate breakfast and got dressed and all that fun stuff (and being in a bit of a frenzy, managed to spill all 16 of the remaining ear infection pills. It's okay though, I recovered them), and left my house, only about 35 minutes late. Oh well. Anyway I drove in the opposite direction of my target to buy gas. Then I drove past my house and was on my way.
Where was I going? To Lexington, to visit Lee. I was supposed to get there at 12 for lunch. I got there at 12:30. The drive was good... except for all the rain. It rained the whole time, and a lot. Oh, and I had the GPS and mapquest directions...but they didn't agree. So I followed the GPS because if I got messed up I knew it would readjust and send me the right way. I got really mad at it though, because it made me get off the highway and go on a road with a bunch of lights (of course I hit all of them red), only to get back on the highway. Whatever. Also, I drove past Lee's house the first time and had to turn around. No big deal though, I turned around and wasn't very far off.
I got there eventually though and we went to Bertucci's. I got my favorite Bertucci's dish ever, the Chicken and Rosemary Ham Calzone (you should try it sometime), and it of course was delicious. After lunch we mosied over to Lexington High School. It was kind of cool. Very different from Taunton High which made it interesting to me. We didn't go visit anyone, just looked around. We did look for one teacher but we couldn't find his class, so I guess he's not there anymore.
Then we hung around at Lee's house for a while and I met his brother for like 20 seconds. haha. We then went bowling and it turns out we are very closely matched. I'm all right at bowling; I usually go like 140 in the first game, occasionally higher, usually with a lower score in the second game because my arm gets tired. Fairly respectable. Lee claimed that he is not very good at bowling, like he's usually lucky to break 100. WHATEVER. I'm pretty sure he hustled me, haha. Results: First game, Lee 145, Alana 142. Second game, Lee 127, Alana 122. SO CLOSE! We decided we're going to have to play more at school. (And I'm going to win next time. That wasn't part of the agreement. But it's going to happen.)
Then we went to the Burlington Mall. It wasn't all that exciting, really, but I'd never been there before so it was cool. It's kind of a big mall. Lee got Chick-Fil-A for dinner but I wasn't hungry (that delicious calzone was HUGE!) so I just got a drink. Then I got artsy and took this picture:

We went down to Hollister to look for Greg, but he wasn't there. Oh well. Then we went back to Lee's house. I said hello to the folks again and cleaned my car windshield. The inside of my windshield has been dirty for some time, but I really noticed it today. So, being the weirdo that I am, I asked for some windex to clean it off before I left. Lee's parents probably think I'm a freak now, but oh well. We took care of my dirty windshield and I left Lexington.
I got home safe, and finally got hungry at 11 o'clock. I ate cereal for dinner. hah.
=D
haha i love the little blurb about windex, and i'm sure my parents don't think you're a freak. they probably thought it was amusing though :P
